Art Museum of South Karelia
South Karelia Art Museum, located in the Finnish town of Lappeenranta was founded in 1965. Since 1980, it occupies space barracks Lappeenranta Fortress, built in neoclassical style in 1798. The museum houses the history of Finnish art from the mid XIX century to the present day. The main part of the museum collection are the paintings of artists working in the city of Vyborg, or who were born there: Arvid Lilelunda, Tyko Sallinen and other Finnish masters of painting.
