Franciscan Museum
The beginnings of FMGG go back to the second half of XIX. century, when the Franciscans of the newly established monastery on Gorica in Livno, aware of the need to preserve cultural heritage, visit the archeological sites and begin collecting antiques. However, the Museum in its contemporary form was officially established on October 2, 1995, by a contract concluded between the Franciscan Monastery in Gorizia and the Livno Municipal Council.
It is designed as a complex institution with an archeological, ethnographic, artistic, numismatic and sacral collection and a collection of old weapons.
