National Museum of Art

The National Art Museum of the collection, consisting of 3,000 pieces and covers an area of ​​about 5500 square meters. The permanent collection of the museum tells about how to develop visual arts in Mexico since the beginning of the XVI century until the mid XX century. The National Art Museum presents three collections, showing the culture of different historical periods. The first exhibition covers the colonial period from 1550 to 1821, the second - the first decades after independence, and in the third collection of the works of the period after the Mexican Revolution of 1950.
