Kbely Aviation Museum
The museum was founded in 1968 on the premises of the historical military airport Prague-Kbely, which was the first air base built after the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. The number and quality of collections are among the largest aviation museums in Europe. At present it has 275 aircraft in its collections, of which almost one hundred are exhibited in indoor halls, 25 in open air exhibition areas, 155 are deposited in depositories and 10 airworthy are operated. Many aircraft belong to the world's unique. The museum exhibition is directly related to the history of Czechoslovak and Czech aviation, especially military aviation. For comparison, there are also exhibited selected types of world-famous aircraft and in addition, a number of aircraft engines, airframe components, equipment, equipment, uniforms, flags, decorations and other monuments that relate to the history of Czechoslovak and Czech aviation.
