Sungkok Art Museum

Sungkok Arts & Cultural Foundation was established in 1995, in honor of the lateMr. Sung Gon Kim, founder of Ssangyong Corporation.  The foundation, namedafter Mr. Kim’s pen name, is a non-profit organization that aims to continue Mr.Kim's dedication and efforts to support education, arts and culture, and fulfill hisphilosophy that ‘national progress begins with the cultivation of bright minds.’

Sungkok Art Museum aims to promote the understanding of contemporary art byintroducing a curatorial programming that supports both Korean andinternational artists. Located in the heart of Seoul, on the former palatial site of Gyeonghuigung, Sungkok Art Museum also presents an outdoor cafe and a sculpture garden, landscaped with seasonal blossoms.
